Jonathan Willis is a career Fire Lieutenant with the Miami Township Division of Fire and EMS currently assigned as the company officer of station 48 on the 1st Platoon. Lieutenant Willis is a recent graduate of Sinclair Community College with an Associate’s Degree in EMS and Fire Science administration. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety from Grand Canyon University.
Lieutenant Willis is a relative newcomer to the officer ranks of the division, receiving his promotion in the winter of 2006. He entered the fire service in 1998 with the Beavercreek Fire Department, after four years of service as a propulsion engineer in the United States Navy.
Lieutenant Willis has been involved in many aspects of the Division since his hiring, including the creation of a program designed to teach emergency responders how to approach and better treat patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders. He continues to deliver this important message all over the region to all levels of emergency service in his time away from the Division.
Lieutenant Willis currently resides in Miami Township, Ohio, with his wife and two sons.
