Management/Leadership Team - Fire Prevention Lieutenant - Thomas Dale Fahrney

Lieutenant Thomas Dale Fahrney – Fire Marshal was born in Dayton, Ohio, September 17th 1964.  He has been a Miami Township Fire Department employee since July 20th 1983.

Lieutenant Fahrney lives in Franklin, Township, Ohio with his wife (Jane) and Son (Zachary) and daughter (Andrea). 

Firefighter Thomas Dale Fahrney was hired as a Volunteer Firefighter at Station 48 and served in that capacity until the fall of 1985.  Lt. Fahrney then became an (EMT) Emergency Medical Technician and started to run EMS in the fall of 1985.

In June 1989 Firefighter Fahrney was 1 of 7 part-time firefighter-EMT’s, to accept a full-time position with Miami Township Fire Department. 

In 1989 Firefighter Fahrney graduated from a 230 Hour Professional Firefighters course hosted in Miami Township Fire Department.

In 1990 Lt. Fahrney graduated from Butler County JVSD Paramedic Program, an intense 1400 hour program.  In 1990 Lt. Fahrney attended several classes at the Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Formal Education Lt. Fahrney attended West Carrollton Schools and Graduated from West Carrollton High School and Montgomery County JVS with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.  

In 1996 Lt. Fahrney started attending Sinclair Community College and Graduated in 2001 with a AS Degree in EMS/Fire Protection Sciences.  In 2005 Lt. Fahrney started attending Bellevue University, Bellevue Nebraska and graduated in May 2006 with a BS Bachelors of Science in Management.
